I started cooking when I was in elementary school- I think so that I could have chocolate chip cookies whenever I wanted. I learned baking and a lot about cooking from my mother, Evelyn, but I can’t forget about Martha Stewart who was also an early cooking influence. I cooked many family dinners during summers off, subjecting my dad and brother to lentils and tofu, but I did have a lot of support from my family in my cooking experiments. I cooked all though high school and even helped cater several graduations at my school.

In college my friends Amanda, Haley and Justine were a willing food audience. After college I took a cooking break for a few years and was living the bachelorette lifestyle of canned soup and cereal for dinner. When I met Greg he saw my shelves of cookbooks and asked me to cook for him. He’s been a willing audience ever since, but jokes that I never make the same recipe twice. I started this blog to help me keep track of recipes we’ve tried and liked, remind me of the changes I’ve made made to recipes and share new and old recipes with friends. I hope you enjoy!
