I’ve been very faithful to my favorite way to prepare tofu, which is the Grit restaurant way of crisping cubes in a pan, sprinkling on
soy sauce, giving them another crisping, then dusting them with nutritional yeast.  I found another recipe that gives tofu so much flavor it really surprised me.  This recipe, from Pleasures of [...]

Posting a recipe for lettuce wraps somehow makes me feel like I’m posting recipes for TGI Friday’s dishes or something…next thing you
know, I’ll be posting about jalapeno poppers.  I don’t even know if chain restaurants carry lettuce wraps, but it’s conjuring that up for me nonetheless.  Anyhow, this recipe attracted me with the slaw and [...]

Where to start?  I cooked a lot this weekend and have a lot to share this week.  First up us a really simple Thai-style tilapia, which comes
together in just a few minutes.  It has the typical sweet, salty, sour and spicy taste of Thai food and goes great with jasmine rice to soak up the [...]

I’ve been a poor, pathetic excuse of a blogger this week.  Last week I was in Spain, and this week, well, I’ve been dealing with a flooded home and all that entails.  So, not to keep you hanging, I’ll post one of my favorite dishes for anytime of the year.  This is one of my [...]

I made these kebabs, which are essentially Thai meatballs tonight, and they were so good we couldn’t stop eating them.  And better yet, they had so much flavor and not a lot of fat.  I served them with a red curry sauce, [...]

This salad was a delicious surprise.  I knew it would taste good,  but I just didn’t know how good it would taste.  It’s a warm, not hot, rice salad with a lot of fresh herbs.  It would be great with grilled chicken, fish or beef especially this beef.  The recipe below serves 8 and can [...]

Today is the last day of shower food, and it’s a two for Friday.  Below are the recipes for the chicken satay (maybe the favorite at the shower) and a Thai green salad.
Food on skewers is always great for parties, and the chicken satay is something that can be prepped a day or 2 head [...]

Thai Green Salad

This isn’t much of a recipe, except for the dressing, but it is a beautiful salad as part of the buffet.  This salad fed 30 as part of a buffet, but would feed 10-15 as part of a meal.  Feel free to cut the portions down.
Ingredients:
Salad:
1 bunch Vietnamese spinach, or 2 bunches regular spinach, washed [...]
